About the Guide

Captain Mel Erickson, owner and head guide of Alaskan Gamefisher since 1989, will personally be your Alaska fishing guide for several fisheries. He guides Kenai River salmon fishing from June to August, and on saltwater halibut and King Salmon Combo charters in May, on Cook Inlet, at Anchor Point near Homer.

Captain Mel Erickson is one of the few Alaska fishing guides who personally guides for both Kenai River Salmon and Alaska Halibut, and also owns the boats for both fisheries.

This means you will fish both salmon and halibut with the same guide business and not be subcontracted out like so many other guide services here.
