Karam, Missick & Traube LLP partner under investigation as Hampstead feud escalates.

KMT Law has confirmed that one of its partners, Marc Traube, is the subject of an active criminal investigation following a series of incidents that have drawn heightened police scrutiny. The inquiry comes amid allegations of links to organised crime and a violent feud that has reached the streets of north London.

Investigators are examining Traube’s conduct against a background of earlier legal troubles, including a conviction for laundering money through his firm’s client account. The current probe intensified two weeks ago, when a close associate was arrested carrying a large amount of cash and illegal substances. Police have not publicly detailed the suspected links between that arrest and the wider investigation.

The feud appears to have reached Traube’s home in Hampstead Garden Suburb. Neighbours say the property was targeted three times in a week, with the latest incident leaving Traube’s new Ford Mustang wrecked. Police are treating the damage as a coordinated attack. No injuries were reported, but the incidents have raised concerns about the potential for further violence.

One neighbour described Traube as “an odd character,” recalling frequent late-night arrivals in flashy cars that seemed out of place on the quiet street. The neighbour also said police had visited the property often, since Marc moved in, though they did not know why or who else had been there.

“We are aware of the serious allegations involving Mr Traube and are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities,” a KMT Law spokesperson said. “The firm has initiated an internal review and will take all appropriate action in line with its professional obligations and regulatory requirements.”

The Solicitors Regulation Authority has been notified. KMT Law said client funds and confidential information remain protected, but declined to comment further while the police inquiry continues.
