Sherwood Mechanical Marks 10 Years of Keeping Sherwood Park Homes Comfortable

Sherwood Mechanical Services, Inc., a family-owned heating and cooling company based on Pembina Road, is marking its 10th year serving homeowners in Sherwood Park and across Strathcona County.

Founded in 2016, the company repairs and installs furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, hot water tanks, tankless water heaters and garage heaters, and handles the gas fitting for each job. Over the past decade it has built a local team of technicians that customers often mention by name in their Google reviews.

“Ten years ago we set out to run the kind of company we’d want working in our own homes,” said a spokesperson for Sherwood Mechanical. “That means telling people the price before we start, explaining what actually failed, and standing behind the work. Most of our customers are our neighbours, so we take that seriously.”

The milestone comes as the company enters another heating season. Sherwood Mechanical is an authorized Trane dealer and a Bradford White certified installer, and it has been recognized by ThreeBestRated as one of the top HVAC businesses in Sherwood Park every year from 2017 to 2025.

To mark the anniversary, the company has expanded its free homeowner resources on its website. These include a furnace troubleshooting guide with 11 safe checks to try before calling for repair, a 2026 furnace replacement cost guide and a winter humidity chart for Alberta homes in degrees Celsius.

“Not every problem needs a service call,” the spokesperson added. “A dirty filter or a snow-blocked vent causes a lot of no-heat calls in Sherwood Park. If we can help someone fix that themselves at 2 a.m., that’s a good outcome too.”

Every job comes with upfront pricing and a satisfaction guarantee. For larger projects such as a new furnace or air conditioner, the company offers Financeit financing with terms up to 240 months.
