Grand Bay, AL, Anyone planning garage door installation in Grand Bay, Alabama can see how ADS Garage Doors, llc does the job. The company lists seven steps on its installation page. They start with a look at the opening. They end with a full test of the finished door.

The seven steps, in order

First, the team inspects the opening, the framing, the clearance and the old hardware. Next, it confirms the door size, style, spring, track and opener needs. On a replacement job, the old door comes out. The new door and its parts go in, and then the opener if one is ordered. The last steps are to balance the door and test the opener and safety features. The job closes only when everything works.

Owners can use the list as a checklist when they ask for an estimate. Three questions follow from it: what gets inspected, which parts get replaced, and how the final test is done.

What an installation includes

According to the company, a full job covers the door, tracks, rollers, springs, cables, hinges and brackets. It also covers any other hardware the door needs. Opener work includes mounting, wiring to the controls, setup and safety checks. ADS Garage Doors, llc says a job is complete only after the whole system is tested.

Why balance gets its own step

Garage door springs store a lot of energy. That is why trained crews usually handle installation. A door that is out of balance also strains the opener. Balance is a fair question for anyone comparing garage door installation options near Grand Bay. It shows whether a crew checks the full range of travel. It also shows whether the crew stops once the door is hung.
